Clara Marie 2 months old ALREADY!!

Picture Day

We got the kids picture taken last week and I am finally getting them up for all to see:) I was pretty excited to get them done. Clara was 8 week and Cooper was 2 years 8 months. Super Cooepr was great getting his pictures done and he didnt want to get off the "stage." Clara did okay the lady that was taking the pictures was making the noises to get her to pay attention and instead of making her smile it made her cry... that lady would have scared me too.... but all in all it worked out!!!

So this month has just gone by so fast I am in total disbelief that summer is over soon! To catch up on the blog I am just going to do a brief over view of the past month. Well here we go.



Cooper has had a lot of fun fishing, running around... since watching the Olympics he loves to run around the coffee table and say that he is "running fast." and for some reason unknown to us he thought that Jed was Michael Phelps and so whenever he was about to race Coop would say that it was "daddy swimmin'" not quite babe:) He did say his 1st swear word and surprisingly used it in the right context... not good but very true and right in front of grandma yates... she just laughed and was in shock. Note to self... watch what you say:) Cooper also got a hair cute and did great he loves the clippers and really has no problem sitting in the chair. We went to the fair... he rode the ponies, some rides, and loved the animals... feeding the goats were his favorite. He got his "big boy" bed all set up in his room- i love the bed, my grandpa made it for me when i was in jr high and now my little bug sleeps on it. ahhhh. i am sure that more has gone on with him but i cant think of anything else to say at the moment about him. i jsut love him and am sooo proud of my little guy:)



Clara Marie... or as Cooper calls her "Baby Clara," he does get pretty upset if anyone calls her by anyother name. She is 2 months ALREADY!! Can't believe it. She is pretty sassy already:) She loves to be talked to and will talk back too!! Her smile lights up my heart... those chubby cheekies and her daddy's dimples * what more can I say?? I did get her to finally take a bottle with formula in it.. we have tryed for the last month to get her to take something to give me a break and so I can leave the house and do Brenda things and thanks to Amber Read I found one that Clara will actually take... Thanks Amber!!! We love our Clara and are soo excited to see what growing up to become!! MUAH!!!



Jed has been busy with work, getting ready to go back to school... NNU. and also busy around the house doing lots of "honey do's." He built a pantry in our kitchen and it is perfect!! He had to fix our plumbing issues.. the washing machine totally overflowed and for some reason drained into the kitchen sink... put Coop's room together... and I know there is more but anyway:) He is great and we love hoe he takes care of us! Thanks baby * love you:)



As fo me... I have been crazy being a mom, wife, sister, etc... I am enjoying my family and enjoying some me time too:) I have been going to the gym and that feels great:) shopping, getting my hair done, the usual:) Mainly adjusting to 2 kids... not easy but worth every minute:)

Coop was looking forward to going fishing with his Papa all week and he finally got to go last Thursday. They only went to the pond in papa's neighborhood, but Coop didnt care, he was fishing:) There are some fish in the pond but they didnt even try to catch them. A hook and a 2 year old are not a good combo. We have done that one before and ended up with a hooked finger. So Papa just tied a weight on the end and Coop didn't know the difference. He came back to tell me all about it... he had a great time:) Thanks Papa

We have had so much fun with our little girl so far! I have to admit that I love getting her ready everyday... with a big bow on her head and a matching bracelet( thanks Tara). Even when we arent going anywhere she still looks cute:) We all love her... Cooper loves on her a little too much. Way too many hugs and kisses! We have had more then enough scares with Cooper picking Clara up and it is usually by the head... I have resorted to trying to teach him how to pick her up b/c time out for Cooper means nothing anymore... he is there a lot these days b/c he only want to love on her and he does not like it when she is asleep... we all know that is all babies do:) He is a great big brother and very protective already... watch out boys!!

Clara is a great eater to say the least, already 9lb 5oz .She is a pretty good sleeper and we are soo thankful for that... I do not do well with not enough sleep. She goes to bed around 11 with me and we are up around 2:30am then again at 6am and back to sleep until 9am and then we are all up for the day.

She does not like to be put down when she is awake so that makes it difficult to get anthing done through out the day... she likes her swing but only in doses. We think that she might be a little colic b/c she is not a happy girl in the evening we have a Dr apt tomorrow to see if that is what it is.

All in all though she is great and we love her sooo much! We are all so blessed to have this sweet baby girl with us:)

Weekend fun...

I am a little behind on blogging so I am going to just add what we have been up to since the 4th all in one entry so that I feel caught up and can start all over again ...


We went to a cabin with Brandon and Amber Read... it was nice to get out of town but not all that relaxing with 2 - 2 year olds and 2 newborns... needless to say we were busy. The boys got to go on a 4-wheeler ride and Brandon fell off.... but no worries Jed was there to save him:) The kiddos got in a fight... over a Diet Coke can... Ashlyn had it... Cooper wanted it... Ashlyn bit Cooper ... Cooper hit her back... meanwhile the boys are playing ping pong downstairs and Amber and I are both feeding the babies... so we cant do anything to stop the 2 monsters:) Really it was pretty funny but at the time poor Amber and I were freaking out!! But it ended and by the time the guys heard us everything was calm and back to normal... Cooper and Ashlyn loved eachother again:) It wasnt all this dramatic... we did have fun and the boys and kids got to go swimming, eat lots of yummy treats and really just enjoy the mountains...
